Capacitor Film

MIRWEC Film, Inc. manufactures biaxially oriented polypropylene film, which is primarily used in high voltage power capacitors. This film is sensitive to contamination, and therefore, is manufactured in a highly filtered clean air environment. We have created a high cleanliness level production area using a computer-controlled air handling system. In addition, we have elevated the standards of cleanliness of the plant and reduced the number of particles much lower than the original design level. These high cleanliness levels enable us to produce two major types of very high quality films. We also manufacture wrapping film for the application of rod production.

MIRWEC is producing two types of polypropylene film: Capacitor grade film, which has high dielectric strength and wrapping film for the application of rod production.

BOPLON® is the MIRWEC trade name for balanced biaxially oriented polypropylene film with controlled surface roughness. The film is specifically developed and manufactured for the all film design of H.V. power capacitors requiring complete oil impregnation.
