Wrapping Film
Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene
Film, BOPLON®, produced by MIRWEC Film, Inc. is widely
used as the most versatile Wrapping Material in various rod products.
BOPLON® has the excellent mechanical properties derived
from the unique biaxial orientation process and the excellent surface
properties from the selected polypropylene resin. The above features are
of great use to rod manufactures, because they enable the manufacturer
to improve the quality of the rod products while reducing the rod-making
process.
Merits
1. Reduce Rod Surface Finish
The tape enables the rod manufacturers to greatly reduce the grinding,
sanding, polishing and machining work on the rod surface after the oven
surging process. BOPLON® does not contain any releasing
agent due to its excellent and smooth properties (Polyester film taper
will leave a releasing agent on the surface). The use of BOPLON®
leaves the rod surface so smooth that after the tape is removed the rod
surface polishing or machining work in eliminated or greatly reduced.
2. Very Little Outburst of
Impregnating Resin
Polyester film tape frequently allows the out bursting of small amounts
of the impregnating resin onto the rod surface, due to the excessive slippery
property resulting from its releasing agent on the film surface. Because
BOPLON® is free from any releasing agent it seldom
causes such an outburst of the impregnating resin.
3. Very Few Wrinkles in Wrapping
Process
The excellent flexibility of BOPLON® prevents itself
from wrinkling or creasing, which improves the efficiency, productivity
and production yields of the rod.
